Bunny treat and rodent diet are product of experience and observation. It is a complete diet, though thoroughly washed leafy green vegetables can be given daily along with prescribed pellet food. Some herbs and weeds like congress grass (Parthenium hysterophorus) are dangerous; ensure your pet is not exposed to unknown areas for grazing.

 

Avoid sudden changes in food that could lead to trauma. Adjust quantities of feed to prevent them from becoming underweight/overweight. Pets may suffer if fed more food than needed i.e. obesity. All burrowing animals usually discharge not so hard droppings which they might re-consume. Watery or sticky discharge is alarming and needs immediate advice of a veterinarian.
